Petr Weigl is a contemporary multi-media artist and a trained graphic designer from Central Saint Martins in London. His primary works are pieces created from ceramic, concrete and metals. Weigl creates topographic narratives that explore the intricacies of the world around him. Creating fluidity from solid materials, Weigl’s works challenge the very qualities of his media, inviting a closer contemplation of his pieces and practice.
Petr finds inspiration from his past, present and how he perceives himself in the world. This predominantly breaks down into a fascination in people, psychology and our inherent interactions. Also, and equally weighted the allure of ‘mother nature’, boasting a plethora of mathematical patterns; in imperfect perfection.
